La Crosse History Unbound Description: A joint digital venture between UW-La Crosse’s Murphy Library and the La Crosse Public Library, La Crosse History Unbound is a portal site to digitized cultural assets of the La Crosse County, Wisconsin, area. Lewis and Clark and the Indian Country: 200 Years of American History via The Newberry Library Description: This site was inspired by the bicentennial of the expedition of the Corps of Discovery, the three-year mission launched by President Thomas Jefferson to explore the newly purchased Louisiana Territory. A milestone in the history of American exploration, the journey was also a major event in the ten thousand-year history of Native peoples in North America. This website explores how these two histories ­ that of the United States and that of Indian peoples along the expedition route ­ came together two hundred years ago and how they remain intertwined today.

Lexikon des Mittelalters Online and International Encyclopaedia for the Middle Ages via UW-Madison Description: Taken together, these two encyclopedias are an important source of information for medieval studies. Lexikon des Mittelalters Online (LexMa) is a major German-language encyclopedia. The International Encyclopaedia for the Middle Ages-Online (IEMA), is an English-language supplement to LexMa, with additional articles which fill in the gaps in coverage. When complete, coverage will include all of Europe, North Africa, and the Middle East.

Lexi-PALS Drug Guide via EbscoHost Description: The Lexi-PALS Drug Guide is a database of Patient Advisory Leaflets from Lexi-Comp that provides vital education on medications for patients. The approach for each pamphlet is to present each medication in an easy to follow and understand question-and-answer format. The database consists of over 1,450 medication and natural product leaflets, with an additional 600 Spanish language leaflets representing the most subscribed and commonly used medications. The database is updated monthly.
